AYA STUDENTS ARE OF THE HIGHEST CALIBER
You will
be finding host families for AYA students who are carefully screened
for grade point average, English ability and maturity. AYA students
must:
- have at least
three years of English instruction in order to be eligible for the
AYA program
- write a detailed
essay introducing themselves and explaining why they'd like to spend
five or 10 months in the United States
- demonstrate
the emotional stability and level of maturity necessary for a successful
exchange experience in the United States
- follow a specific
curriculum of study in their United States high school
- arrive with
their own health insurance and spending money
Since the AYA
program is an academic exchange, students must adhere to our rules
or risk being disqualified from the program and sent home.
