WHAT AYA HOST FAMILIES SAY

What a wonderful experience! We enjoyed hosting Annina immensely! She learned flags in marching band in less than a week! She is a very positive, bright, motivated person and our family is sure she will have many successes in life. Our sons felt they had a big sister, one they will surely miss. - Alicia and Greg Truttman, Wisconsin (photo at right)

It helps everyone look at their own lives from a different perspective. - Sheri and Greg Hurlbut, Nebraska

You know one day you'll be saying goodbye, but I always tried not to think about Christina leaving. She and I were good buddies. She loved to help me do stuff around the house, and she loved my old car. She liked to have fun and be silly, and she even taught me a few German words. Though only her host father, I felt sometimes like her real father. We'll never forget her. It was all worth it. - Eric Via. Texas

Our host student fit into our life wonderfully. We had a great year. We had so much fun—we will never forget it! She loved the American food, and we loved Hungarian pancakes. - Daryl and Marie Braatz, Thorp, Wisconsin
